REGULAR TOWN MEETING

Mayor Michael Tubre and Council of the Village of Harrisonburg, Louisiana, met in regular session on Monday December 09, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Village of Harrisonburg Town Hall, 108 Sicily Street, Harrisonburg, Louisiana.

Council Present:  Mayor Michael Tubre, Mayor Pro-Tem Greg Terry, Councilmember Blake Barbo and Judy Cotten. Also present: Town Clerk Patricia Hefner, Billing Clerk Rachel Gohmert.

There being a quorum present, Mayor Tubre called the meeting to order.

John Vercher of The Vercher Group presented the Audit Report for the year ended June 30, 2024. Citizens can review the audit report online at villageofharrisonburg.com or at the Village of Harrisonburg Town Hall.

A motion was made by Councilmember Barbo and seconded by Councilmember Cotten, to accept the November meeting minutes as published. The floor was opened for public comment. On vote, the motion carried unanimously.

A motion was made by Councilmember Terry, seconded by Councilmember Barbo, to accept the November 2024 financial reports: transfers, disbursements and budget report. The floor was opened for public comment. On vote, the motion carried unanimously.

Mayor Tubre opened the floor for public comment:

Mayor Tubre and the council recommended that the Christmas Parade be scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM, followed by Fireworks at 7:00 PM, maintaining the usual schedule. The events are set for Friday, December 20, 2024.

There being no further business to come before the Council, a motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Cotten, and seconded by Council Member Barbo at 6:39 p.m. On vote, the motion carried unanimously.
