REGULAR TOWN MEETING

Mayor Michael Tubre and Council of the Village of Harrisonburg, Louisiana, met in regular session on Monday April 14, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Village of Harrisonburg Town Hall, 108 Sicily Street, Harrisonburg, Louisiana.
Council Present: Mayor Michael Tubre, Mayor Pro-Tem Greg Terry, Councilmember Judy Cotten. Also present: Town Clerk Patricia Hefner, Town Attorney Joey Boothe.
There being a quorum present, Mayor Tubre called the meeting to order.
John Barker gave the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
A motion was made by Councilmember Cotten and seconded by Councilmember Terry, to accept the March meeting minutes as published. The floor was opened for public comment. On vote, the motion carried unanimously.
A motion was made by Councilmember Terry, seconded by Councilmember Cotten, to accept the March 2025 financial reports: transfers, disbursements and budget report. The floor was opened for public comment. On vote, the motion carried unanimously.
A motion was made by Councilmember Terry and seconded by Councilmember Cotten to adopt a proclamation declaring April as Fair Housing Month.
Mayor Tubre opened the floor for public comment:
The council selected April 26, 2025, as the official opening date for the Steamboat Park Splash Pad.
Operating hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Joey Boothe announced the Harrisonburg Heritage Festival, scheduled for April 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Vendor booth fees are as follows: $10 for non-electric booths and $20 for booths requiring electricity. Vendor Fees may be paid at the Harrisonburg Town Hall.
There being no further business to come before the Council, a motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Cotten, and seconded by Council Member Terry. at 6:45 p.m. On vote, the motion carried unanimously.
