REGULAR TOWN MEETING
AUGUST 11, 2025

CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Michael Tubre and the Council of the Village of Harrisonburg, Louisiana, met in regular session on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Village of Harrisonburg Town Hall, 108 Sicily Street, Harrisonburg, Louisiana.

Council Present: Mayor Michael Tubre, Mayor Pro-Tem Greg Terry, Councilmember Judy Cotten, and Councilmember Blake Barbo.
Also Present: Town Clerk Patricia Hefner.

There being a quorum present, Mayor Tubre called the meeting to order.

INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Tubre gave the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

A motion was made by Councilmember Cotten and seconded by Councilmember Barbo to accept the July meeting minutes as published. The floor was opened for public comment. On vote, the motion carried unanimously.

FINANCIAL REPORTS

A motion was made by Councilmember Terry, seconded by Councilmember Cotten, to accept the July 2025 financial reports: transfers, disbursements, and budget report. The floor was opened for public comment. On vote, the motion carried unanimously.

PUBLIC COMMENT & COUNCIL DISCUSSION

– Councilmember Cotten discussed upcoming Christmas decoration funds for the Village.
– Town Clerk requested guidance on purchasing a storage container for the Christmas decorations.
– Councilmember Terry requested an update on the road repair project on the hill.
– The Council discussed drainage issues at the Village Ballpark.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business to come before the Council, a motion to adjourn was made by Councilmember Cotten and seconded by Councilmember Terry. At 6:31 p.m., on vote, the motion carried unanimously.
