The mayor and town council of the Village of Harrisonburg met in Regular Session on Monday, October 10th, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at the Village of Harrisonburg Town Hall.
Council Members Present: Mayor Michael Tubre, Council members: Greg Terry and Judy Cotten,
There being a quorum present, the mayor called the meeting to order.
On a motion by Council Member Terry, seconded by Council Member Cotten, with all in favor, the Council approved September meeting minutes as published.
On a motion by Council Member Cotten, seconded by Council Member Terry, with all in favor, the Council approved September Account Transfers, Disbursements and Budget Reports.
A discussion was held concerning the Village of Harrisonburg’s Annual Halloween event. Council agreed to set Trick or Treating hours from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on October 31st. Road Closures at Catahoula and Pine Street will begin at 4:45 pm.
Fire Chief Lee Mizell reported nine fire pages for the month of September. Harrisonburg had three brush fires and one controlled burn within Harrisonburg city limits. Harrisonburg responded to three Brush Fires in Leland Fire District as mutual aid, one structure fire in Sandy Lake as automatic aid and one standby call out for a gas leak in District 3.
On a motion by Council Member Cotten, seconded by Council Member Terry, with all in favor, the Council adjourned the meeting.
