The Village of Harrisonburg, Louisiana, will receive sealed bids for the purchase of one new excavator.

Bids must be received in office, no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026. Bids received after the stated deadline will not be accepted.

Properly submitted bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026, at the Village of Harrisonburg Town Hall, 108 Sicily Street, Harrisonburg, Louisiana.

The Village may award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid meets the applicable specifications. The Village of Harrisonburg reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities as permitted by law, and accept the bid determined to be in the best interest of the Village, in accordance with applicable Louisiana law.

1. Submission

  • Submit one signed original bid in a sealed envelope marked “STREET-MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT BID.”
  • The bid must arrive at the Village address stated in the Notice before the deadline. The bidder bears the risk of late delivery.
  • Submit one bid for the excavator described in this packet.
  • Include the completed excavator specification response, bid form, deviations form, bidder information, and all requested product literature.

2. Pricing and Award

  • Prices must include delivery, setup, dealer preparation, manuals, warranty, and all other charges, excluding taxes from which the Village is legally exempt.
  • State a firm price and the number of calendar days the bid remains valid; 60 days is requested.
  • The Village may award the excavator to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid meets the specifications and applicable law.
  • Any proposed exception or substitution must be clearly identified. Silence means full compliance.

3. Required Condition and Delivery

  • All equipment shall be new, current production, unused, and supplied with full manufacturer warranty unless expressly stated otherwise in an addendum.
  • Delivery shall be FOB destination to the Village of Harrisonburg at the location designated by the Village.
  • The bidder shall state the estimated delivery time after receipt of a purchase order.

4. Questions and Addenda

Direct questions to the Village of Harrisonburg at 318-744-5794. Only written addenda issued by the Village may modify the bid packet. Bidders are responsible for confirming receipt of all addenda.
