Council Meeting
June 8^th 2026 – 6:00 P.M.

MINUTES

Mayor Michael Tubre and Council of the Village of Harrisonburg, Louisiana, met in regular session on Monday, June 8^th, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Village of Harrisonburg Town Hall, 108 Sicily Street, Harrisonburg, Louisiana.

Council Present:  Mayor Michael Tubre, Mayor Pro-Tem Greg Terry, and Council member Blake Barbo. Also present: Town Attorney Joey Boothe, Town Clerk Patricia Hefner.

There being a quorum present, Mayor Tubre called the meeting to order.

Mayor Tubre gave the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

A motion was made by Councilmember Barbo and seconded by Councilmember Terry, to accept the May 2026 meeting minutes as published. On vote, the motion carried unanimously.

A motion was made by Councilmember Terry, seconded by Councilmember Barbo, to accept the May 2026 financial reports: transfers, disbursements and budget report. On vote, the motion carried unanimously.

A motion was made by Councilmember Terry, seconded by Councilmember Barbo, to adopt the Millage Rates Resolution 20260608. On vote, the motion carried unanimously.

There being no further business to come before the Council, a motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Barbo, and seconded by Council Member Terry at 6:45 p.m. On vote, the motion carried unanimously.

RESOLUTION 20260608

            BE IT RESOLVED, that the following millage(s) are hereby levied on the 2026 tax roll on all property subject to taxation by Village of Harrisonburg, Louisiana.

                                                                                      MILLAGE

GENERAL ALIMONY                         7.330mills

            BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper administrative officials of the Parish of Catahoula State of Louisiana, be and they are hereby empowered, authorized, and directed to spread said taxes, as hereinabove set forth, upon the assessment roll of said Parish for the year 2026,  and to make the collection of the taxes imposed for and on behalf of the taxing authority, according to law, and that the taxes herein levied shall become a permanent lien and privilege on all property subject to taxation as herein set forth, and collection thereof shall be enforceable in the manner provided by law.

            The foregoing resolution was read in full; the roll was called on the adoption thereof, and the resolution was adopted by the following votes:

            ABSTAINED: 0

            ABSENT: 1
