VILLAGE OF HARRISONBURG
REGULAR TOWN MEETING 20251208
Mayor Michael Tubre and the Council of the Village of Harrisonburg, Louisiana, met in regular session on Monday, December 08, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Village of Harrisonburg Town Hall, 108 Sicily Street, Harrisonburg, Louisiana.
Council Present: Mayor Michael Tubre, Mayor Pro-Tem Greg Terry, and Councilmembers: Judy Cotton and Blake Barbo.
There being a quorum present, Mayor Tubre called the meeting to order.
Mayor Tubre gave the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
A motion was made by Councilmember Cotten and seconded by Councilmember Terry to accept the November, 2025, meeting minutes as published. The floor was opened for public comment. On vote, the motion carried.
A motion was made by Councilmember Terry and seconded by Councilmember Barbo to accept the November 2025 financial reports: transfers, disbursements, and budget report. The floor was opened for public comment. On vote, the motion carried.
A motion was made by Councilmember Terry and seconded by Councilmember Barbo to table the Harrisonburg Ballfield Committee appointment until the next meeting.
Mayor Tubre opened the floor for public comment.
The Harrisonburg Christmas Parade will be extending its route this year. 16’ trailers and smaller will follow the traditional route, continuing to Main St and looping around to Catahoula Street. Longer trailers will be directed onto Sicily St, where they will safely turn and rejoin the parade at Catahoula Street. This route will keep the parade flowing smoothly and safely for everyone.
The Village of Harrisonburg continues to encourage all residents to take pride in their community by cleaning up around their property.
There being no further business to come before the Council, a motion to adjourn was made by Councilmember Cotten and seconded by Councilmember Barbo at 6:28 p.m. On vote, motion carried.
