20230321 HARRISONBURG SPECIAL MEETING
The mayor and town council of the Village of Harrisonburg met in Session on Wednesday, March 22th, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. at the Village of Harrisonburg Town Hall.
Council Members Present: Mayor Michael Tubre, Judy Cotten and Blake Barbo. There being a quorum present, the mayor called the meeting to order.
On a motion by Council Member Cotten, seconded by Council Member Barbo, with all in favor, the Council adopted Resolution #20230322 authorizing the construction of a ballfield at the Harrisonburg Ball Park.
On a motion by Council Member Cotten, seconded by Council Member Barbo, with all in favor, the Council adjourned the meeting.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A BALLFIELD
WHEREAS, The Village of Harrisonburg desires to promote recreational activities within the community; and
WHEREAS, Harrisonburg Sports Association, LLC wishes to construct a universal ballfield at the Harrisonburg Walking Trail for use by the community for games, practices and as otherwise needed; and
WHEREAS, the costs of construction of the ballfield shall be borne by, White’s T & J Oilfield Supply; and
WHEREAS, the field would be available to the community upon such terms and provisions as the Village of Harrisonburg or authorized representatives would authorize.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT The Council authorizes the Harrisonburg Sports Association, LLC to construct a ballfield at the walking trail; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the maintenance and upkeep of the field would be the responsibility of the Village of Harrisonburg; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT Mayor Tubre has the authority to oversee the project, signing any and all documents pertaining to the construction of a ballfield at the walking trial.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the field shall be named at a later time.
