Mayor Michael Tubre and Council of the Village of Harrisonburg, Louisiana, met in regular session on Monday January 13, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Village of Harrisonburg Town Hall, 108 Sicily Street, Harrisonburg, Louisiana.
Council Present: Mayor Michael Tubre, Mayor Pro-Tem Greg Terry, Councilmember Judy Cotten. Also present: Town Clerk Patricia Hefner, Superintendent Billy Franklin.
There being a quorum present, Mayor Tubre called the meeting to order.
A motion was made by Councilmember Cotten and seconded by Councilmember Terry, to accept the December meeting minutes as published. The floor was opened for public comment. On vote, the motion carried unanimously.
A motion was made by Councilmember Terry, seconded by Councilmember Cotten, to accept the December 2025 financial reports: transfers, disbursements and budget report. The floor was opened for public comment. On vote, the motion carried unanimously.
A motion was made by Councilmember Terry, seconded by Councilmember Cotton to adopt Resolution # 20250113 Declaring surplus items.
Mayor Tubre opened the floor for public comment:
There being no further business to come before the Council, a motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Cotten, and seconded by Council Member Terry at 6:40 p.m. On vote, the motion carried unanimously.

RESOLUTION #20250113
RESOLUTION DECLARING SURPLUS ITEMS FOR PUBLIC BID
WHEREAS, the Village of Harrisonburg Council must authorize the disposal of any surplus property that as an item or group of items has a fair market value of greater than $5,000, and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Alderman of the Village of Harrisonburg, Louisiana desires to declare surplus and dispose of certain Town-owned property, and,
WHEREAS, the Town-owned property described on the attached list (Schedule A) is hereby declared to be surplus to the needs of the Village of Harrisonburg,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Town Clerk is hereby authorized to dispose of the listed items by any means allowable by law, to include trade-in for new or used town equipment, donation to a non-profit organization, sale, or destruction. The Town Clerk shall report the results of the surplus property auction and/or private sale at the next regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen.
