The following Ordinance, having been introduced on April 12th, 2021 will be laid over with a public hearing on May 10th, 2021 at 5:45 PM and will be offered for adoption on May 10th at 6:00 PM.

ORDINANCE NO. 20210510 CROSS CONNECTION
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20190513, ADOPTED May 13, 2019. THE VILLAGE OF HARRISONBURG; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
Be It Ordained by the Village of Harrisonburg Council, that:
Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows:
International Plumbing Code adopted.
The International Plumbing Code, the latest and most current edition adopted by the LSUCCC, including Chapter 1 as amended by reference above, is hereby adopted.
Enforcement of cross-connection regulations.
a) Any consumer or other person who fails to comply with the latest revision of the International Plumbing Code, Backflow/Cross-Connection Control Requirements Sections as adopted by the Louisiana State Uniform Construction Code Council (LSUCCC), or who fails to comply with the additional requirements of this section or any notice or order made hereunder shall be in violation of this section.
b) The cross-connection control and backflow prevention program shall be administered through the Village of Harrisonburg Cross-Connection Control and Backflow Prevention Policy and Procedures document, adopted through the ordinance from which this section derives.
c) The Appointing Authority, or designee, shall administer this program. The Appointing Authority, or designee, is further authorized and empowered to make such amendments to the cross-connection control and backflow prevention policy and procedures as the director of utilities or designee may deem necessary or desirable, including, but not limited to, such amendments as may be required to comply with the future changes in applicable laws or regulations.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, be and the same, are hereby repealed.
Said ordinance is available for public inspection at the Village of Harrisonburg Town Hall: 108 Sicily Street, Harrisonburg, La weekdays between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities and non-English speaking individuals provided that three-day notice of received by the town hall.
Those citizens unable to attend this hearing may submit their views and proposals until May 10th, 2021 in writing to:
