The regular town meeting will be held as follows:

AGENDA:  

  1. CALL TO ORDER
  2. DETERMINATION OF QUORUM
  3. PRAY
  4. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
  5. ACCEPT minutes of the April meeting as published.
  6. APPROVE April Financial Reports: Account Transfers, Disbursements and Budget Items
  7. APPROVE Resolution 20240516A Steamboat Park – Site Work and Improvements: Awarding, Womack and Sons Construction Group, Inc. Contract #2200968 in the amount of $175,229.50. Authorizing the Mayor to execute any and all contracts, estimates and change orders between the Village of Harrisonburg and the contractor.
  8. APPROVE Resolution 20240516B Phase II Water Storage DWRLF Project No. 1025004-01, in the amount of $1,484,500.00, contingent on the approval and availability of funds by the Louisiana Department of Health, Drinking Water Revolving Loan Fund Program Authorizing the Mayor to execute any and all contracts, estimates and change orders between the Village of Harrisonburg and the contractor.
  9. Adopt DOTD Resolution 20240516C: Providing DOTD the use of approximately 10 feet beyond existing edge of the west bank of the Ouachita River on the east side of Water St. for permanent placement of riprap. DOTD will maintain the riprap placed in the water street right of way.
  10. Adopt Operating Budget Resolution 20240513D: Accepting the Operating Budget of Revenues and Expenditures for the year beginning July 1, 2024 and ending June 30, 2025 and amending the Operating Budget of Revenues and Expenditures for the year beginning July 1, 2023 and ending June 30, 2024.
  11. Consider adopting Employee Policy 119. Full time employees of the Village of Harrisonburg whom have accounted an average of 36 hours per week are eligible to participate in employee benefits including, vacation, sick leave, holidays, retirement and Insurance plans.
  12. Consider adopting Utilities Policy and Procedures 114A. Disconnects and Reconnects.
  13.  Introduce Ordinance 20240516 Salaries of Elected Officials. Chief of Police Wages.   
  14. OPEN for Discussion
    1. Discuss improvements at the Harrisonburg Ballfield.
